There’s a lot of new info being released now that WP7 has been announced.  Here’s a new video from Microsoft about the debut lineup of Windows Phone devices.  You can probably expect most of these devices being equal to the Evo 4, iPhone, and the Droid II; at least in regards to hardware specs.

Windows Phone 7 Device Lineup:

  • Dell Venue Pro
  • HTC HD7
  • HTC Surround
  • LG Quantum
  • Samsung Focus

 What do you think?

And heeeerrrreee come the ads!

Of course we should expect Microsoft to push their new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. Here’s what I’m wondering now: WHO are they targeting? Are they going to fight Android’s powerful marketing mystique? Or are they going to make an attempt to appear as trendy as Apple (the keyword here being “appear”. Apple is not trendy). My prediction is that Microsoft is going to create a massive push-marketing campaign over the internet and television… and billboards too I’m sure.

Anyway, here is their first official video advertisement for Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system.

Today, October 11 2010, may be one of the most anticicpated days since the moon landing. I mean it probably tops the moon landing (because you know, it was staged). Anyways, the launch of Windows Phone 7 has finally officially debuted to the public. It’s been quite a journey, but the moment has come. Now let’s not get all gushy and jittery just because the new OS is making it’s way into the market. Another way of putting it is don’t get “hot” for it like the Apple Fanboys. Ignore Microsoft’s television commercials, if they dare to imitate Apple’s marketing strategy. Jeese… if your product is good then it should sell itself.

Tune into the program today. It starts at 9:30 a.m. EDT/6:30 a.m. PDT.

Windows Mobile 7

Windows Phone 7, previously aka "Windows Mobile 7"

Windows Phone 7 is an operating system created specifically for mobile phones. Since Windows Phone 7 runs on most “touch” Smartphones and Pocket PC’s it competes indirectly with the new Apple iPhone.
